Paris Hilton – arrested on cocaine charge
Paris Hilton caught for self-possession of cocaine later on policemen stopped the car she was in on a Las Vegas street late Fri nighttime. Hilton was booked into the Clark County custody Center on a charge of self-possession of cocaine, Las Vegas police spokesman Marcus Martin told.
The 29-year-old Hilton was in a auto driven through a friend that was checked as officers found what they suspected to be marijuana smoke coming from it, he told The Associated Press.
“Officers noticed a vehicle leaving smoke trail of a contolled substance (and) made a stop based on that,” Martin said.
On the stop, officers found out what seemed to be a drug on Hilton and after tests showed that it was cocaine, Martin said. He did not know how much got. He said Hilton was obviously recognized by passers and a crowd rapidly gathered in the area where the car had been sided over. Police force watch commander Lt. Wayne Holman stated Hilton was still being took about 2 a.m. Saturday but would probably be free on her own recognizance after in the morning.
Hilton’s manager and a publiciser did not at once return AP demands comment.
Police did not directly release the name of the man who was driving the car. Martin stated he’s not sure if he was too caught. Hilton was copped this summer later the Brazil-Netherlands World Cup match in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, with suspicion of self-possession of marijuana. The lawsuit was then dropped at a midnight court hearing.
Hilton pleaded none contest in 2007 to alcohol-related careless driving and was condemned to 45 days in jail.
Later on passing some 23 days in jail, Hilton said U.S. television host Larry King that the experience caused her to re-evaluate the role partying played in her life. She said she wanted “to help raise money for kids and for breast cancer and multiple sclerosis.”
